What a great weekend! Twin parts (Carrie) came up from Bloomington, IN sans GFP (Greta Fat Pants) to do some heavy flower planting, dog parking and misc relaxation. I think all was achieved-- although the dog park wasn't enjoyed as thoroughly as anticipated (due to gardening commitments and Kasia's recent injury). I don't know if its Carrie's recent Reiki sessions or a change in moons however, good karma is back in the house. She brought up several perennials and garage sale findings for baby Willis. JACKPOT. I swear, baby Willis will never run out of clothes.
Additionally, we hit up the Reject Racks in Walmart's Lawn and Garden-- walking away with TONS of annuals for only $100. Score. So, our flower beds are looking sharp as well as our unborn son.
I must also mention that I slept awesome last night. The past few weeks have been nothing less than restless due to baby moving between the hours of 2-4 AM. No joke, baby does P90X/Taebo in my loins all night long. I used to be able to sleep through the movements however, due to his growing stature (and less room in his baby apartment) its more disruptive now. If you tie Kasia into this equation, her snuggling techniques basically squeeze me into a circle at the top of our bed (making sleep even harder). I would NEVER kick my dog out of bed, so I may need to add a side car onto our bed for Kasia (plus Kasia's ears are extra soft lately).
As a prize for all of Carrie's good deeds this weekend, Chris and I rewarded her with our old flatscreen tv and whitewashed table thingy. We all walked away winners.
The Jennie Show is a daily dose of how I view the world; no sweatpant too tight, no puppy too cute and no subject off limits. 39 years of life experience has brought me my awesome husband, an unruly but very soft-earred dog, and two delicious children. I love being a mom, cooking, ready historical biographies, running, skiing, Christmas, sauvignon blanc, lawn chairs and cheesy yacht-rock-style music (most often heard in a dentist office).
