Instead of baby fever I have dog fever.  I have been wanting another dog for months now.  Kasia, our resident 4-legged daughter is 5 and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs..... so why not get another dog?  Plus, having a dog in the house makes me feel more safe.

I look on Petfinder all the time.  I can't believe how many descriptions I read about how dogs are found on the brink of death because their owners don't feed them.  WTF.  Here's an idea:  Don't get a dog if you're not going to take care of it.  Simple.

So, if I'm having a bad day, I Google videos of dog rescues (a before and after type short) and am immediately overcome with happiness.  Nothing is better than seeing a once-chained-up dog get a bath, a bowl of food and lots of snuggles.
