I didn't realize it however, the baby within my loins has been kicking. I thought the goldfish feeling was food digesting ..... turns out its the baby Rottweiler inside. So, now, of course, I'm super aware of it. It feels so weird..... weird in a good way. I really want some peanut M&Ms......
Its early to be doing this but I've been reading alot about delivery stories. It seems like every woman I know has been induced. Does this seem weird to anyone else? Perhaps this is ignorance speaking however, I don't want to be induced. In fact, if I was told that I was to be induced, I'd say "do a c-section then." Yes, Cesareans are risky. It's surgery. HOWEVER, c-sections don't involve (often times) 20+ hours of Petocin, Epidural, etc. I'm on the fence. I hope I have a choice.
The Jennie Show is a daily dose of how I view the world; no sweatpant too tight, no puppy too cute and no subject off limits. 39 years of life experience has brought me my awesome husband, an unruly but very soft-earred dog, and two delicious children. I love being a mom, cooking, ready historical biographies, running, skiing, Christmas, sauvignon blanc, lawn chairs and cheesy yacht-rock-style music (most often heard in a dentist office).

Congrats on the movement...such a strange/cool feeling! If it makes you feel any better (probably not), but I had a great induction experience with Marley. I was induced on my due date because my blood pressure had been going up & down...borderline pre-eclampsia, but I was never officially diagnosed with it. 12 hours from start to finish...4of Pitocin before the contractions got bad, one hour of bad contractions (which was my own fault, I could have asked for the epi sooner), and then 6 pain-free hours of waiting to dilate...and about 20 minutes of pushing. I hope you have a choice too, or that baby just comes on its own like he or she is supposed too!
I think a lot of women (and doctors) choose induction these days for convenience. Yes, there are cases where it is medically necessary. But I've more often heard stories of "we wanted this birth date" or "Our doctor is going on vacation/off shift/whatever." They talked about inducing me early as well, but I was against it and my doctors supported that. I wanted baby to choose his own birthday. :) Of course, I still ended up with a c-section. Best to not make plans and be prepared for anything! :)
