Hot Trash

I have a renewed faith in Chris' domestic abilities......

I like to cook and clean.  Weird, right?  True story.  I'd take cleaning the bathroom over raking leaves any day of the week.  There is nothing more rewarding than having guests in your home and compliment you on how clean the house is.  LOVE IT.

Sunday night we had Kristy and Phil over for dinner.  I prepared chicken pot pie (which I knocked outta the park on the Awesome Scale) which won over the crowd.  For dessert I purchased two boxes of snickerdoodle mix; Chris always requests cookies and milk.  Antsy for a sweet treat, Chris and Phil rolled up their sleeves and made cookies.  It was hilarious.  I believe there were a few "Is the oven preheating?"  "Don't overmix it!" and the oh so classic "Make sure they're not burning."  Kristy and I were cracking up.  I'm seeing in neon "Chris and Phil's Dutch Oven Bakery."

Kasia played clean up and managed to ingest a whole cookie which meant a sore tummy all day Monday.  I took her to the dog park after work and I think she had four blow-outs.  No need for doggy clean up bags at that point.

I'm super pumped to head back to the D this weekend.  It's Carrie's first shower; two more to look forward to after that.  Melissa and Adrienne will be in the mix which is rad.  Melissa is as far along as Carrie in her pregnancy, so I'm sure we'll be catching up on all things breastpumps, onesies and diapers.

I'd like to take this opportunity to discuss the relevance of Detroit:
1.)  Bob Seger
2.)  The Detroit Red Wings are leading 10 points over the Blackhawks in the Western Conference
3.)  Tiger games are way better than Sox games
4.)  Coneys
5.)  Detroit is mentioned in the movie "Aspen Extreme"
6.)  Detroiters boo'd Charlie Sheen off the stage.  Good riddance.
